How do I generate subtitles for a video?

Upload the video, press Generate subtitles, then download the .srt or .vtt file. The timings come from the speech engine, so cues line up with what is said.

What is the difference between SRT and VTT?

Both are plain-text subtitle formats with the same cue structure. SubRip (.srt) is the most widely accepted: YouTube, Premiere, Resolve. WebVTT (.vtt) is the HTML5 standard used by the browser's own <track> element.

Is the subtitle generator free?

How accurate are the timings?

Cues are timed per segment by the speech engine rather than estimated from word counts, so they track the audio directly. Long pauses and music are handled as gaps between cues.
