Wispr Flow alternative

Dictation for the work laptop
IT won't let you install on.

Same global hotkey, same clean formatted text in any app. But one subscription also buys you 43 text-to-speech voices and a REST API, and it runs in a browser tab when you are not on your own machine. EU-hosted, GDPR-native.

The short version.

€29/mo covers 50 hours of dictation a month, and the same credits also run text-to-speech and the API. Wispr Flow is dictation only

Free tier is 15 minutes of dictation a week; Wispr Flow's free desktop tier is 2,000 words a week

Dictate in a browser tab with nothing installed: useful on a locked-down work laptop, a Chromebook or Linux

EU-hosted and GDPR-native by default, not as an enterprise add-on

43 TTS voices across 32 languages and a Bearer-token REST API are included, not sold separately

Speak loosely. Paste clean text.

Fillers out, punctuation in, capitals where they belong, before the text reaches your app.

List prices, monthly billing unless stated. Audexum in EUR, Wispr Flow in USD, not FX-converted. Audexum bills one wallet: 1 credit = 1 TTS character, and dictation costs 200 credits per minute, which is where the hour figures come from. Wispr Flow's free desktop allowance is counted in words, not minutes: 2,000 words is roughly 13 minutes of speech at 150 wpm. Check the source link before relying on any number here.

Why choose Audexum.

Wispr Flow is a very good dictation app, and it is only a dictation app. That is a reasonable thing to be. It also means that the day you need a voiceover, an audiobook chapter, or speech in your own product, you are buying a second subscription from somebody else.

Audexum sells the whole voice surface on one wallet. The hotkey app dictates into any Windows program. The browser studio does the same with nothing installed, which matters more than it sounds if your work laptop does not let you install things. The same credits run 43 text-to-speech voices in 32 languages, batch jobs, audiobooks and a REST API with Bearer tokens. €29 a month covers 50 hours of dictation, more than anyone actually speaks in a month, and whatever is left over becomes audio.

We are an EU company running EU servers, so GDPR is the default rather than a line item on an enterprise quote. Questions: [email protected].

Questions, answered.

Is there a free Wispr Flow alternative?

Audexum's free tier includes 15 minutes of dictation a week, no card. Wispr Flow's free desktop tier is capped at 2,000 words a week.

Does Audexum work on Windows like Wispr Flow?

Yes. Audexum Dictate is a native Windows app with a global hotkey that types into any program. You can also dictate from a browser tab on any OS, including Linux and ChromeOS, with nothing installed.

Which languages can I dictate in?

100+ languages including Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian and Ukrainian. The engine auto-detects, so you do not have to pick before you speak.

What does Audexum include that Wispr Flow does not?

Text-to-speech with 43 voices in 32 languages, batch and audiobook jobs, and a REST API with Bearer tokens, all drawing on the same credit balance as your dictation, at no extra cost.

Where is my audio processed?

On our EU servers or, at peak times, a sub-processor listed on our sub-processor page. Audexum is an EU company and GDPR compliance is the default configuration, not an enterprise upgrade.

Two ways in, one account.

Install the Windows app for the global hotkey, or open the browser studio and start talking. 15 minutes of dictation a week, free, no card.
