Is it really my voice?
- It is your voice, re-synthesised inside your own recording. Not a clip of you saying that word somewhere else, and not a stock voice pretending to be you. The model works on the take you uploaded, so the tone, the microphone, the room and the pace around the edit are the ones that were already there.
- Because it is generated rather than recorded, you should hear it before you use it. Every result is transcribed back automatically and checked against what you asked for, and the page tells you when an edit did not come out cleanly, so you are never guessing.
What it is good for
- A mispronounced client name or product name in a finished voiceover.
- A wrong date, price or number in a recorded announcement.
- One fluffed word in an otherwise perfect take you do not want to record again.
- A script change that arrived after the session, when the booth is gone.
Why it is not just cut and paste
Splicing in a new recording means matching the microphone, the room, the distance and the energy of the original take, which is why most people re-record the whole line instead. This regenerates the words inside the take itself, so the voice, the room tone and the pacing around the edit stay as they were.
